Tirunelveli ((DC) : Even as the students’ stir at the Palayamkottai government Siddha College in Tirunelveli entered the fifteenth day on Monday, Rajya Sabha MP T.K Rangarajan has written to Union health and family welfare minister Ghulam Nabi Azad seeking his intervention.

He also appealed to Azad to advise the Central council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) to lift the embargo on admission and teaching for students of Government Siddha College in Palayamkottai while the institution is persuaded to fulfill its requirements.

Around 100 students got admission for the first year for the academic year 2011-2012 and 25 PG first year students along with their parents are on a sit-in protest in the college demanding commencement of their classes.
