Ayurveda students’ stir gathers momentum

Vijayawada:CCIM recognition for 6 colleges demanded

The agitation of Ayurvedic College students for Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) recognition for three government and three private Ayurvedic colleges in the State has gathered momentum with various youth organisations extending solidarity with their cause.

The students of Dr. Nori Ramasastry Government Ayurvedic College here have been conducting demonstrations for the past three days and they launched a relay hunger strike in front of the institute.

Youth Congress leader Devineni Avinash was among the first to come to the camp to express his solidarity with the agitating students. He said he would take up the matter with the District Collector and higher authorities in the medical educaiton.
