New Delhi, Nov 27: The national capital will play host to a Congress on the traditional medical discipline of Homeopathy from December 1 which will deliberate on research, education and public health aspects of homeopathy.
To be attended by luminaries like Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Delhi Health Minister A K Walia, Minister of Health in the Haryana government Rao Narender Singhji along with other high dignitaries from various states, the Congress strives to provide an outstanding platform and a forum for intellectual interaction among physicians, clinicians, researchers, scientists, veterinary physicians, dentists and homeopathic societies from all over the world.
More than 2,000 delegates from 70 countries which include about 200 doctors from countries like Germany, the US, Brazil, Russian, Italy, Iran, where homeopathy is being practiced, are expected to attend the four-day event.
Globally acknowledged homeopaths and scientists will be the resource persons.
The Congress is being organised by an organising committee comprising eminent homeopaths Dr S P S Bakshi, Dr Ramjee Singh, Dr Arun Bhasme, Dr R K Manchanda, Dr K K Juneja, Dr Sandeep Kaila.
The scientific programme hold discussions on homeopathic education and policies, pharmaceutical industry, public health initiatives in homeopathy, homeopathy for MCH campaign, clinical research and trials conducted so far, rare cases treated successfully with homeopathy, homeopathy in allied sciences.
Besides the state-of-the-art sessions of homeopathy through the key homeopathic experts from all parts of the world, the Congress will also touch upon the unique features of medical pluralism that have been successfully implemented into healthcare by the Union Government.
The event is co-organised by the largest associations like HMAI, AHML and IIHP in collaboration with Homeopathic Institutions, medical colleges, research centres and individuals from almost every part of India and globe.
In the Indian society, the traditional systems- collectively recognised as AYUSH are well established and widely accepted due to their historical and cultural significance. Homoeopathy is one such system which has its own unique features and is known to be safe, effective and affordable. Homoeopathy is not only the safest and most effective way of treatment, but also has the potential to be used as a prime public health system, especially in today’s world with its environmental and demographic changes.
In the past few years India has become the hub of homoeopathic activities and is growing @ 25-30 pc annually (ASSOCHAM).
With the latest advancement in education and research in Homoeopathy it is going to be the largest country to practice and promote Homoeopathy in the world.
